Receive a NADA 5-point acupuncture treatment (spirit gate, sympathetic nervous system, kidney, liver and lungs) targeting anxiety, insomnia, cravings, detoxification, and withdrawal from drugs, alcohol, tobacco and psychiatric medications. Will, BMad and Sascha will hold an open circle discussion on mental health peppered with their own experiences. Sliding scale $5-15. No one turned away for lack of funds. Half of the donations will go toward the traveling expenses of Will, BMad and Sascha.

Will Hall - is co-founder of the award winning advocacy organization Freedom Center in Western Mass in addition to being a founding collective member of The Icarus Project. His writing, speaking and facilitator skills have made him a guiding light in the international movement for human rights in mental health, bringing him to communities in Ireland to Alaska to the autonomous Zapatista territories of Mexico. Press coverage has included the New York Times, Adbusters and more. He is the coordinator & main author in a community collaborative debut of popular education materials titled: Harm Reduction Guide To Coming Off Psychiatric Drugs. Will is the primary host and mastermind behind the Pacifica syndicated Madness Radio. (http://www.madnessradio.net)

Bonfire Madigan Shive - is a new music cellist, vocalist, avant-pop composer, community organizer, and touring musician. She released two albums on the Kill Rock Stars label and has collaborated on stage or in studio with artists as diverse and influential as Elliott Smith, Joan Jeanrenaud (Kronos Quartet), Cat Power, and Fugazi. Bonfire Madigan's (BMad) work has been stirring the DIY art/activist movements from Riot Grrrl to Queercore to Chamber Punk (a genre she is credited with creating) and beyond. Her forthcoming studio album is scheduled for release in 2008. She is a founding collective member of The Icarus Project. (http://bonfiremadigan.com)

Sascha Altman Dubrul - is a writer, farmer, and visionary mad man. His 2002 article for the SF Bay Guardian entitled Bipolar World was the seed that launched the Icarus Project. The Icarus Reader and Road Map of Bipolar Worlds which he co-authored as the project's debut independent publication is now in it's 6th printing. He is spearheading the recent launch of Campus Icarus. The Jolie Holland single Sascha was named for him. And after years of producing ground breaking fanzines like The Secret Lives of White People and Walking the Edge of Insanity, as well as contributing as a regular columnist to Slug and Lettuce punk magazine, Sascha is now at work on his first novel.
